Mary Wollstonecraft Godwin (April 27,1759-1797) was a lady that qualified in every way to be called superlative, through her love as a mother, wife, sister and friend.  In unmatched fashion, she earned recognition for the female gender and contributed greatly to, if not invented what would later become the powerful machinery of the feminist movement.  She made the minds of great thinkers and philosophers, like Rousseau and Burke give her her just respects as a writer, debater, philosopher and more.

 

For the remainder of the semester, I will try to present to you a woman that all can praise and learn from.  I have over 40 references in my bibliography (both primary and secondary sources).  There is a wealth of on line material (photos, writings, etc) that I will place on this site also.  Oh, by the way, Mary Wollstonecraft is the mother of Mary Shelly, the author of the famous novel–Frankenstein.
